With great anticipation, the entire household awaited the arrival of the Posch pet socks for dogs. Mumzy and Popzy have this rescued dog which suffers from allergies. Therefore from time to time, the poor creature will begin to chew upon his paws. A most disgusting habit, if I may be allowed to say so. Not to mention the fact that his constant licking is most annoying, and tends to keep the entire household awake during the night. Thus, the order of the knit socks. However, even though poor Mumzy ordered a medium size, they were much too small. Mumzy took one look at the socks, and then she looked at me in a rather suspicious manner. She had somewhat of a peculiar look within her eyes. I glared back at her!Ohhh! --- Nooo! --- Mumzy! No way!!! They are not for me! Pussycats do not need socks! Besides, it is the dog who licks his paws --- not I !!! I do not need them! Even if I did need them --- they looked much too small for my furry paws. Therefore, even though they were quite cute, and seem to be rather well made --- they were unfortunately returned. Thus, the poor dog is now wearing that contraption which is referred to as the "cone ofshame". It will have to do for the present time. Oh! --- What a bother! --- Phffft!!!The socks themselves are very nice, like hospital socks— but for cats. I did notice the insides of the socks had lots of the ends of the fabric used to make them, so they get stuck on cat nails if you aren’t careful. Super cute, very funny to watch my cats take VERY large steps.... but they hate them ?Socks a very small and poor quality. Not the best for our dog dog French bulldogMy dog takes life at a run and frequently slips on our wood floor. I followed sizing instructions and ordered him the XL first, which came off and/or got turned around his feet in a couple of steps. I ordered another set one size down, and they fit him better, but they still get turned around and come off after a few steps. It is possible this is due to his hair being very slick. The XL does fit his brother better who has bigger paws and walks more slowly and calmly. These socks are very cute, with great detail in the design, and are very well-made. Unfortunately, they just won't stay on my dog's feet. And when they do, it's turned around with the slick side down.I've ordered a total of 3 sets and we are keeping them for the dogs to wear inside their Aside from some humor at watching him flop around, they were pretty useless for us. Not a bad sock, I guess just not for my catI love the socks, however, the one thing that could be improved if there was also some sort of grip on the inside of the socks. The rubber on the outside is great, but on the inside, the socks still slide on my dog's feet so sometimes the rubber ends on top of his paws so he's back to sliding around. The fit is perfect though and he has been out of his crate more now that he's confident that he can grip on the floors. The socks are long enough that they don't slide down and come off.Just be sure that your pup's nails are trimmed or they can be uncomfortable. My Chihuahua loves these! I didn't actually measure his feet, just kind of vaguely guessed at the sizing but I decided to order an XXS because he is 10lbs and has tiny feet, plus i would rather have them a little tight than falling off. When I put them on he was surprisingly non-resistant. Once I had all four on he didn't know what to do with himself so he just stood still and trembled like a typical Chi. Once we walked (dragged) outside into the snow and he realized that these things are awesome and let him with in the snow without freezing his toes off, he was so excited! normally he tiptoes and avoids snow but he ran right to it this time! I am so happy with this purchase. I tried boots for him but they didn't fit and he wouldn't tolerate him. Once these wear out I will definitely buy again. The bottoms of these are nice and sticky for anti-slip but the sizes are ridiculously inaccurate. I bought the medium for my 32lb German Pinscher and the medium looked like it MAY fit a 7lb Chihuahua. Ended up exchanging for an XL and the front fits perfect but the back paw socks slide around a lot as they are a little bit big. I didn't want to bother ordering two different sets for the two sizes so he wears them for a little but ultimately is not solving our issues with him sliding around on the laminate wood floors. All I can say is if you have a dog larger than 35lb forget about these socks because there is no way the XL will fit and thats the biggest these come in.
